The APDS-9930 light environment and proximity detection module provides an I2C interface compatible ambient brightness sensor (ALS) and a proximity sensor with infrared LEDs. Among them, the high sensitivity provided by the ambient brightness sensor allows the device to operate behind dark glass, and the proximity sensor can work well under different lighting conditions. The addition of micro-optical lenses to the horizontal block provides high-efficiency transmission and reception of infrared energy, enabling the device to have a very low average power consumption.
