Introducing the DAC8571, a compact and energy-efficient 16-bit voltage output DAC with an I2C compatible two-wire serial interface. This low-power device is perfect for portable, battery-operated equipment, boasting a typical power consumption of only 800 µW at 5V, which drops to an impressive 1 µW in power-down mode. Its on-chip precision output amplifier delivers a full ail-to-rail output swing and achieves stability within a mere 10 microseconds.
The DAC8571's 16-bit monotonic architecture ensures accuracy with factory trimming that typically reaches ±4 mV absolute accuracy across all codes. It supports standard, fast, and high-speed I2C operation modes up to 3.4 MHz, making it versatile for various applications. This DAC also supports multichannel synchronous data updates and power-down operations via the I2C bus, streamlining system control.
Key features include micropower operation of 160 µA at 5V, a single supply range from +2.7V to +5.5V, and a settling time of 10 µs to ±0.003% FSR. The I2C interface supports both data receive and transmit, and the on-chip rail-to-rail output buffer ensures reliable signal integrity. With a double-buffered input register and support for synchronous multichannel updates, the DAC8571 is designed for precision and efficiency.
